Strengthening Public–Private Collaboration to Advance Quality, Safety, and Compliance in Uganda’s Infrastructure

By admin  Published On July 24, 2026

We were honored to participate in a timely and impactful engagement that brought together policymakers, regulators, and private sector stakeholders to discuss practical approaches for strengthening quality, safety, and compliance across Uganda’s infrastructure sector.

The forum provided a valuable platform for meaningful dialogue on how enhanced collaboration between the public and private sectors can improve regulatory compliance, promote the adoption of international standards, and contribute to the delivery of safe, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure projects. As Uganda continues to experience significant growth in construction, energy, transport, and industrial development, such partnerships are increasingly essential to ensuring that projects are executed with the highest levels of technical integrity and public safety.

During the event, we had the privilege of delivering a presentation to an audience comprising representatives from the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS), the Ministry of Works and Transport, industry leaders, and fellow professionals. The discussions focused on the critical role of independent inspection, testing, certification, and technical assurance services in supporting regulatory compliance, mitigating operational risks, and enhancing confidence in infrastructure development.

The engagement reaffirmed the importance of continuous dialogue between government institutions and industry players in creating an enabling environment that encourages innovation while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards. It also highlighted the value of leveraging private sector expertise to complement public sector oversight in achieving national development objectives.

We remain optimistic about the opportunities ahead and are committed to working alongside regulators, policymakers, clients, and industry partners to promote best practices, strengthen compliance frameworks, and contribute to the sustainable development of Uganda’s infrastructure sector.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the French Chamber of Commerce Uganda (FCCU) for organizing this insightful event and for creating an important platform that fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and constructive engagement among all stakeholders. We look forward to building on the momentum generated through these discussions and translating ideas into meaningful action.
